Swoon-worthy Galentine’s

Italian Prosecco and Champagne Bar Car For Events

Celebrating Women and Friendship

It doesn’t get much better than a beautiful styled shoot to celebrate the love and friendship among women. This was the vision for Floral Designer, Mandy Hess, and Photographer, Diana Coulter—and we are here for it.

“Love deserves to be celebrated no matter what. Celebrating each other as women is the most empowering thing we can do and I love surrounding myself with and honoring talented, supportive, badass women.”
-Diana Coulter

Here’s a look into more of the beauty from their shoot!

Inspiration

Diana, having grown up with three sisters, valued her female friendships from a young age. In College, she hosted parties for her closest girlfriends before Leslie Knope made Galentine’s a thing.

Mandy echoed the sentiment sharing that the laughter and friendship she has in her closest girlfriends is what gets her through the tough times and keeps her sane.

First, Hair & Make-up

Upon arrival, each attendee began with hair & makeup, followed by mini portrait sessions in a decadent and delightful vignette on our natural light cyc wall.

This is the kind of “treat yourself” level that we are all about.

We don’t know about y’all, but we have spent a LOT of time without a lick of makeup on our faces this past year, and the idea of having polished look by Angelica is a treat in itself.

The Piccolina Bar Car

Mandy first stumbled across the oh-so adorable Piccolina Bar Car last year and immediately fell in love. Nicole, the Piccolina owner (also an event planner) became fast friends with Mandy as they connected across instagram during 2020.

We love the non-traditional bar service that a cutey Italian Bar Car offers events while simultaneously supplying one hell of a photo op. We’re crossing our fingers that an upcoming wedding at Realm gives the Piccolina Bar Car an excuse to make another appearance.

Why Realm?

We asked Mandy why Realm was the studio of choice to execute her creative vision.

“Realm is a great choice for a shoot as there isn’t background ‘noise.’ The white wall allows for the subject to stand out and not have the business of a scene become distracting. Plus, since Realm allows clients to use their furniture it helps to not feel like we also have to source all of those large items on top of everything else.”

Intentional Design

It’s music to our ear’s to hear that our inventory is delivering on both form and function. From styled shoots to full blown evening events, Realm’s in-house lounge furniture and table and chairs for up to 50 guests can fast track bringing your event vision to life.

Space to Create and Then Some

Mandy also shared that Realm’s unique furniture and natural light made organizing and shooting smooth for the entire team. Transitioning different settings and vignettes was easy with abundant open space and sunshine pouring through the windows.

Mandy’s Florals of Choice

We more or less posed the most difficult question for floral designers to Mandy by asking, “what is your favorite floral element is to style?”

“I love styling larger installation pieces—like a work of art. The space it is in or the object that is in front/behind/etc, can change the piece itself. For example, something that comes up from the ground can change depending on if it's behind or in front of a chair. Or a beautiful design on a ceremony arbor changes when you move that same piece to a fireplace mantle. I love how flowers allow for different expressions.”

Looking Forward

After an undoubtedly challenging 2020, Mandy is looking forward to being creative with her medium of choice: flowers! With upcoming weddings and collaborations, she is looking to make 2021 the year of creativity.

Cheers!

We wish you the best of luck Mandy! Thank you for letting Realm be a part of such an incredibly beautiful styled shoot!
