With the departure of Amethyst, the cafe space is being reinvented as the Sun Room. This updated space will better serve Realm’s two-fold focus: Studio & Events. Below is an outline of our updates.
All plans are subject to change given the nature
of construction & fabrication.
Bar
Due to the large and static nature of the existing bar, we are replacing it with a new moveable bar with a smaller footprint.
Moveable means bar service can take place anywhere at Realm and a smaller footprint means more room to shake your tail feather.
The new bar will be fabricated in Partnership with Yonder House.
With the bar removed, the north wall will be more accessible as a Studio backdrop, with a fresh coat of white paint.
Lighting will be diffused in the morning and direct in the afternoon (on clear sunny days).
Banquette
Similarly to the immovable quality of the bar, we are updating the banquette with a new lounge vignette.
The lounge vignette will maintain Realm’s cozy and elevated living room quality, while offering a new degree of flexibility and customization like never before.
In true Realm fashion, you can shoot the vignette as-is, rearrange it, or move it to shoot just the white brick wall as your background. AKA choose your own adventure.
Furniture
The cafe tables and chairs will be removed, offering increased space for entertaining and creating.
The window bar and stools will remain as is and will act as the perfect spot for cocktail hour and hair and make-up.
Tables and chairs for up to 50 will continue to be included in every event booking.
Keep an eye out for a handful of new furniture pieces that are finding their way to Realm as we speak.
Climate Control
A brand new fan will move the air within the Cafe space more effectively, keeping it cooler during the summer, and warmer during the winter.
Moveable Walls
Two moveable walls (also created with Yonder) will be added to Realm. We expect them to be a wonderful compliment to everyone’s favorite, the Cyc Wall.
One will be in Open Space (rendering above) and the other will be in the reinvented cafe space. Each wall will feature 2 different paint colors—one on each side.
These walls can be used to highlight a specific Event feature or act as a visual barrier for caterer prep areas.
These walls will be a STELLAR new Studio amenity that we are excited to add to Realm.
Mezzanine
The mezzanine is being transformed from meeting space to green room.
The long table and chairs will be replaced with lounge furniture, a full length mirror and a spot to hang clothing.
The mezzanine will be included in any bookings that are a full Studio or Event buyout.

A little extra space is a welcome amenity. With all of these updates, we’re keeping a little extra space in mind to meet a new comfort level standard between individuals.
FLEXIBILITY MATTERS
Physical pieces that are flexible in both location and use are important. Realm will be able to better transform to your vision, and it will allow us to keep our interiors as relevant and up to date as possible.
